Admissions
We are delighted that you’re interested in learning more about Princeton Preparatory School's Admissions and we cannot wait to meet you and your child! We understand that finding the right school for your child can be daunting, so we try to make the process as easy as possible. The first step in the Princeton Prep admissions process is a tour of the campus. Our program is unique, and we want you to see it first-hand. Here’s a quick look at what comes next…
Please Note:
-
Our programs fill up quickly so applications will be placed in order of their application dates. In the event we are full, families will be contacted once an opening is available.
-
School tours are conducted every Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 am and last for approximately 45 minutes. The tours are parent only and children do not attend the initial tour. At this time, there are no spots in our Toddler Program. Applications are being accepted for our waitlist once you have toured.
Step 1 - Visit our School
The admissions process is designed to help you learn as much as possible about our signature Montessori programming and help us get to know you and your child.
We recommend that you take some time prior to your visit to consider what’s most important to you and your child when it comes to finding the right educational environment and come prepared with any questions you might have about us and our schools.
We believe that the best time to see our school in action is when classes are in session. This will give you the opportunity to see our school when it is brimming with the energy of our students. Tours are held every Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 am by appointment only.

Step 2 - Apply
Once we’ve had the chance to get to know one another, you’ll have the chance to apply to our school programs. Applications are downloaded from our online Parents Portal. We will send you a link inviting you to apply once you’ve completed your tour. After the initial tour, the child attends a Trial Week which cost $250. This is a very important step in our application process as both parents and school get to learn about the Princeton community and the child.
After the Trial Week, we will contact you directly to confirm the application status. Once confirmed, applicants must pay a one-time Application Fee of $500.00, Annual Material Fee of $300 and Semester or Yearly Tuition. Once the application form, enrollment fees and material fees have been received, we will begin processing your application and discussing the next steps for admission.
Step 3 - Admissions
Admission into our Toddler Program (ages 18 months – 3 years) and Primary Program (3 years – 6 years) is on a first come first served basis.
Returning and former students, their siblings, and those previously enrolled in other Montessori schools have priority over new applicants. Every effort is made to balance the enrolment in each class according to gender and age.
New families applying to our Elementary Programs (Grades 1 through 5) may be asked to come in for an assessment/interview/visit to determine your child’s suitability for the program. Once you have decided to apply, you will be asked to provide additional paperwork, past report cards and any educational/behavioral assessments your child may have had. Accompanying paperwork can be sent in via email to our admissions office.
PLEASE NOTE: You can enroll your child at any grade. Prior Montessori experience is not a prerequisite. We look for students and families from all cultural backgrounds who will fit into our community, culture, and share our values.
